UMDHU participates in the Safe Seats car seat program
This program provides a new car seat, basic education on how to install and use a car seat and observation of your ability to correctly install your child's car seat.
Low income parents can purchase a new car seat:
- Infant seats: $30.00
- Convertible seats $30.00
- Forward facing only with harness 30.00
- Backless booster seat $15.00
Other pricing options are available for parents not qualifying as low income. A car seat technician will also do education as part of the car seat purchase.
